Overview:
We manufacture a wide range of flat springs and metal
pressings to industries across the UK including the
marine,
medical, automotive, electronics and general engineering
sectors.
Our 10,000sq.ft premises in Reading are equipped with
a range of machines for flat spring forming and general
presswork as well as support services such as sheetmetal
work, fabrication, machining, heat treatment, and assembly.

Flat
Springs : We operate a range of machinery
for flat spring manufacture including a Bihler Multislide
7 tonne press station (12 slides) which gives us the
capacity to handle high volume production runs of up
to 100,000 off.

Flat
Spring Tooling: Springs & Wireforms
Ltd manufacture all tooling for the manufacture of flat
springs inhouse which means we can repair tools and
parts quickly. Our machining capability includes milling,
turning, grinding, drilling and sawing.

Presswork:
We operate 5 continuous feed progressive presses suited
to workloads of up to 60 tonnes and materials 3mm thick.

Material
& Finish: We work with all basic
material types such as spring steel, stainless steel,
phosphor
bronze, beryllium copper, mild
steel, and aluminium as well as specialty materials
and offer a range of finishing options including including
powder coating, painting, plating & polishing.

Contacts:
Much of our work is for the electrical and electronics
industries who require contacts and other electrically
conductive components with spring qualities. We offer
a range of materials including copper and brass and
have access to the services of local electroplaters
for tin, silver and gold surface deposition.

Clips:
Springs & Wireforms Ltd can fabricate clips for
most applications in steel, aluminium, copper and number
of other materials. .
